The AREA
Our location is very central, in Miragaia district, right in the historic center of Porto. Waking up overlooking the Douro River is a true privilege! We are very close to downtown and yet it is still a quiet area at night and extremely safe anytime.
Parking is still easy out of peak hours.
Miragaia is one of the oldest parishes of Porto. It is very traditional, with kind and helpful people.
There is a good bakery / cafeteria within meters. There are also supermarkets, restaurants (francesinhas, traditional and vegetarian) within 500 m.
We are in the heart of the "São João do Porto Festivity" on the night of June 23rd, a unique night in the city.
We have an open office daily, so we are available every business day, and even outside of this period. We are happy to help guide your stay in Porto by indicating the best as well as the most secret places (art, architecture, heritage, landscape, nightlife, music, restaurants, etc.).
Airport or train transfers and luggage storage are available on request.
PARKING
Free parking is available along Rua de Miragaia between 19h-9h (mon-fri), also free on sundays and holidays; Paid parking between 9h-19h00 (mon-fri) and 11h-16h (saturdays), the cost is 1,20€/hour.
There is also an underground paid park at 350 m (SABA RIBEIRA) with surveilance .
BUS AND TRAM
Miragaia stop at 20 meters (direct buses to the center / São Bento / beaches/ Matosinhos / Boavista)
Alfândega Congress Center 300 meters away.
METRO / TRAIN
São Bento Station at 1000 meters, 10 minutes walk (or 3 stops by bus 500). I recommend doing the journey on foot, as it is worth it.
TAXI
Taxi rank 300 meters at Praça do Infante.
BIKE
Bike and scooter rental shop 10 meters.
ABOUT
Goabio is a project started by Miguel and Rita in 2015.
We have six apartments in the historic center of Porto.
Each apartment sleeps 2 to 4 or 6 people and a large apartment for up to 10 people.
We fell in love with this part of Porto, because we worked here for a few years.
We want to help our guests with their Porto experience by sharing with them our favorite places and experiences.
